PARALLEL Vienna combines an art fair, a pop-up museum
and a social hub. 130 exhibitors will be showcasing their work at the fairgrounds. The University of Applied Arts is
hosting an exhibition by the Zink Art Association, which was founded by students in the Painting Department.
With the Angewandte’s invitation to Parallel Vienna, Zink now finds itself in a setting that
was previously unfamiliar to the art association: the art fair. This opens up a further dimension within the already well-trodden
tension between off-space and institution. Caught between belonging and standing on the sidelines, the art fair itself becomes
the subject of investigation.
The Zink Art Award opens on 9 September 2026 at Parallel
Vienna.

will flash. The applause will rise and fall. And then the room will empty.
