A call by the Hungarian collective
irregulari, which is organising the two-week interdisciplinary art festival Kőbánya Underground in collaboration with the
Hungarian University of Fine Arts and the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME).
Financial support is available for accommodation, travel expenses and, where applicable, an artist’s fee. Opportunities
include presenting work or participating in the festival, as well as a longer-term research and networking residency, subject
to agreement.
Objectives
- Revitalising
the historic S1 site and the Kőbánya cellar system through contemporary culture and research developing a model for the adaptive
reuse of industrial heritage
- Creating a platform for cross-border artistic exchange, new commissions
and knowledge-sharing across Europe
- Building a sustainable network of local, national
and international cultural and academic partners
